An E-Communication from the American Canoe Association

ACA Announces Spring Release of Newest Safety Video: "Decide to
Return: A Strategy for Safe Sea Kayaking." - Pre-orders now being
accepted.

In partnership with the United States Coast Guard, the American
Canoe Association announces our newest education tool "*/Decide to
Return: A Strategy for Safe Sea Kayaking."/* The program, in final
stages of production, is scheduled for an early spring 2007 release.
The 11-minute video provides instructors, boating safety educators,
and clubs and organizations, dramatic visual footage and training
aids designed to inform and raise the awareness of the casual kayaker
to the risks of venturing off shore in open coastal waters.

/FOR A LIMITED TIME/ until March 15, 2007, ACA instructors and
paddlesport program providers can order the video at the discounted
rate of $15.00 ($25.00 value) including shipping and handling. To
order, download the Special DVD Order Form

and mail or fax with credit card information or payment to the
indicated address. The videos will be shipped no later than April 1,
2007.

Produced by the award winning team of Russ and Alison Nichols and Dr.
Robert Kauffman (Cold, Wet and Alive and Heads Up! Rescue for River
Runners), this video and accompanying training materials (CD with
PowerPoint presentation and 16-page discussion guide) are a must for
every kayak instructor, club safety officer, boating safety
coordinator, or paddlesport program provider.

The training program was produced in cooperation with the United
States Coast Guard and the Aquatic Resources (Wallop-Breaux) Trust
Fund.

NSBC's Recreational Boating Safety Grant Applications Due January 25

Several ACA Clubs and Divisions have benefited from the NSBC
(National Safe Boating Council) grant program over the past years.
