Two strikes, bases empty

We had dismal turnouts for out last two presentations.
Frida Rosenberg from Sweden had 4 people. She gave a really nice talk on Adventure Racing which is hard core several day multi-task events non stop. Serious mountain climbing, running, kayaking, navigating etc. Out of 30 teams, over half never finish and she has been on ESPN events. I guarantee she will be a ConnYak member by Spring since she wants to live here.
Omar Singer - another really nice person and presentation to a dismal turnout of probably 12.
I mentioned to Kate that I don't know if I want to bring in anyone because it's futile. This is not a reprimand and people need to do what pleases them with our sport and never feel obligated to do anything. I just don't know what that is. I know at our photo show, those directly involved will be there and a few more. So if somebody has ideas or direction, please contact the club because we definitely need direction.
Maybe all people want to do is paddle, and that's fine. What kind of event would you actually attend if any?
