I think what you're reading there is old policy with no need for them to change it just in case. They actually charged at Barn about 7 or 8 years ago. $5 or something like that but all of that was dropped with budget cuts and lack of man power. They have the East River listed and I have never seen a charge there. Most all of those charges have been dropped. Even at Hamonesette in Madison they have cut way back in the times they charge. It seems like they still charge at many of the lakes with swimming and facilities.
