I have to agree with your grandfather - they are tough as nails. The old .22 is to light for winter chucking -This time of year you'll need some thing a little biger - like a backhoe since you have of digging to do but he'll sleep through it all.

I tried eating one once - once was enough ... rate just a little higher than possums but under racoons.
