That's a great spot. Paul Donoski and I were there last March. The marina launch is off the right side of the last high rise you see in the first segment of the ride in so you can paddle there in a matter of minutes. Off to the right you can see a sand bar which is good spot to stop, eat, rest etc. Further to the right there is the endless beach that runs down to Cape Romano. Also there are frequently dolphins right in that same spot. I have seen them on two seperate occasions. Notice the person out of the boat was standing up. The tide range is not big. The water, however, is very cloudy so check your depths. A helmet might be handy. There was no one there that day.
Actually, very secluded. It it not developed south of the island with
: thousands of islands. The southwestern side of Marco island has consistant
: surf and the main channel out of the island, when conditions are right,
: had GREAT surfing.
