It has been conveyed to me, through third hand reports, that last sunday kayakers were walking up to the door and looking in to see who was there. After seeing my ugly head, in need of a haircut and with scruffy fur on my face, I've been told they carried their kayak back to their car and went home. Could that have been the cause of the very low attendance reported? In response to these third hand reports, there has been a professional haircut, with a beard trim. Nothing can be done about the ugly head, it's too late to choose my parents differently.
Four (or 4 1/2) hours is the longest rolling session offered! None are cheaper than $20! One can roll, take a rest, chat with other ConnYakers, try each other's kayaks or paddles, have something to eat and still return with enough time to roll repeatedly until fatigued. It's even been rumored that the mayor will come to visit his constituents. For those not too worn out by rolling practice, Ron is inviting you to join him for climbing wall fun after the rolling session. It doesn't get much better than this!
The Sheehan pool opens up officially at 9 a.m. and closes at 1 p.m. In past years Cheri had the custodian open at 8:30 and there is a good chance that it will be opened then, but not guaranteed.
Due to insurance reasons, the Sheehan pool sessions are restricted to ConnYak members. Everyone is welcome to join ConnYak and membership is $15/yr. One can now join online and I will also have membership forms at the pool for anyone who wants to sign up there. The pool session fee, as noted above, is $20. Come and keep me so busy that I can't finish the phenomenal book I'm reading, "That Used To Be Us."
