: Interesting. EternaBond recommended the silver tape. I think the
: Geo and the Eterna may be very similar products. No way I'm
: messing with Denzo... want a roll? I think it's almost
: irrelevant whether Geo or Eterna is marginally better. We know
: from your story that EternaBond works just fine an major wet
: repairs and lasts a lot longer that it should.
Yeah, I expect there aren't many differences in the different roof/RV tapes. The Denzo-tape was a trainwreck, I agree. Kept mine in aluminum foil then wrapped in a baggie, got black crap over anything it touched. I pulled out the Denzo once during an instructional class at the request of a British assessor who, while sitting on the bow of my boat with his upturned kayak across mine, thankfully took pity on me and didn't require that I actually unwrap it and apply it to his boat! (Or maybe he didn't want that crap on his boat?).
On the Eternabond color issue, I think all the Eternabond "Roof Seal" tape is identicial, just different color backing. My batch has the white backing and was 4" wide. Am assuming you bought the "grey" color of the exact same stuff - here:
