Here's the link to the EternaBond stuff below at bottom of my original message - although now that Rusty has a roll, no need for anyone else to buy it!

I had a few patches of Denzo Tape, never used them - sticky mess. But when I saw how well this other stuff worked - Eterna Bond tape for RV roof repairs - I discarded the Denzo. Now just carry the Eterna Bond for emergency repairs during day paddles. (I still also keep a 2-part quick cure epoxy stick you can get from West Marine - applied that once during a trip away from home with decent results.)
Bill Lozano of AKT turned me on to the Eterna Bond stuff some years back and gave me a length of it. I witnessed its use one time when we were out at Beavertail Point RI doing some rock hopping and someone suffered a fairly major hole/tear in the hull of their boat from an impact against the rocks. A hole that would sink the boat quickly - big hole. The Eterna Bond stuff is not messy at all - it comes with a peel-off backing and can be cut with a knife or scissors during the repair. The repair was done wet, on the water with the upturned boat stabilized by a rescuer in rough-ish conditions (in other words, the tape can be put on in less-than-ideal conditions). The amazing part is the paddler just left the taped repair patch on his boat for the remainder of the season, paddling it all over the place - only in winter did he fix the hole with fiberglass! This stuff is tough. I also recall that he said it didn't leave a sticky mess that had to be laboriously cleaned prior to fiberglassing. I haven't used my patch of tape yet, maybe I'll need it some day.
Website is below - I'm not sure which of the different types of tape is the one I have (RoofSeal I think) but they're all reasonably priced and you can share a roll with friends.
