Beth, For what it's worth I really like your proposal and reasoning.

While the ConnYak I experienced as a newbe was very welcoming to me (warts and all), non-members perception of ConnYak is often quite different. We need to present to the general paddling population a more welcoming impression. I'm not suggesting a great change in how the club operates, just a better presentation of who we are and how we conduct ourselves.

I think your suggestions help do that.
