: While people do, in fact, paddle around at picnics and practices,
: there are no "trips" per se. I think that the trip
: language could be eliminated. Level 1 covers a short, easy
: paddle and if a "trip" was organized at a picnic, it
: could be assigned whatever level is appropriate.
I'm on board with this idea but just to throw out a reason for calling it a trip...
While we don't currently do Level Zero "trips" and don't have any intention to do so, for some people this kind of trip may have real appeal. Is there a benefit to keeping this language available so anyone who joins the club who wants this kind of trip has a label ready to use? The same could also be said for Level Six.
BTW, for some reason, I made the point of righting out the numbers when defining the levels. It is "Level Zero" instead of "Level 0" partly because I think it just looks friendlier. "Level Zero" is a name for a level where "Level 0" is a rating for a trip. Zero Mostel is a funny comedic actor, 0 mostel indicates what we have after he died.
