When your water bottles freeze you might want plastic again...

: I used the hard plastic water containers for years. About the same
: time I was reading the first suggestions of chemicals leaching
: out from the plastic, I left a bottle in my car for a few days
: in the hot summer. When I opened it there was a substantial
: plastic smell-it's now spray painted yellow and has morphed into
: being my pee bottle.

: I bought a couple of Keene all stainless steel water bottles,
: paying the somewhat higher cost for an all stainless bottle and
: have been using them ever since. Most of the stainless bottles,
: and all those with the cute flip tops have plastic caps-we are
: trying to avoid plastic aren't we? Some Keene bottles now have a
: plastic caps-look for all stainless.

: Of course in 10-15 years we will be reading of all the crap that
: leaches out China stainless steel, but I'll be too old to care
: by then.
