Does BPA-free really mean anything?

http://www.plasticalbatross.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/PlasticEA_Study_ehp.1003220.pdf

EA = ESTROGEN ACTIVITY

"Results: Almost all commercially available plastic products we sampled—independent of the type of resin, product, or retail source—leached chemicals having reliably detectable EA, including those advertised as BPA free. In some cases, BPA-free products released chemicals having more EA than did BPA-containing products."

There you go. Sketchy water bottle studies do seem to show BPA release diminishes with age. BPA was untested and now the BPA substitutes are untested leading to the question: should you use your old water bottles instead of new 'BPA free' water bottles? I would definitely use glass for baby bottles.
