12 years of salt water dripping off the boats on the Sienna roof... sure I sanded a couple or three times and applied a dab of touch up paint but there were three larger rust blisters. The body shop guarantees their work... that will be $1350.00 please. No way. So I started with sandpaper and ended up grinding with a sanding disk. The corrosion went surprisingly deep. Not a perfect job but I took off as much of the rust as possible, applied naval jelly, rinsed, dried and applied three coats of zinc spray to the patches. The only paint that will stick on the zinc is latex so I have a can of white Krylon H20 latex spray on order. How will this hold up? That's the interesting question. Check out the pix... CAN ZINC SPRAY PAINT SAVE YOUR CAR? I'll be more diligent about rinsing the roof...

the third spot painted with zinc
I don't much care what the roof LOOKS like but it would be nice if the zinc spray paint buys a few years time
