Although this has been discussed on the bulletin board, the "new direction" discussed here needs to have a larger discussion in a club meeting.

Although I don't think it will happen, the "new direction" may scare off existing club members. We can still do the same paddling we used to - we'll
also be able to do maybe a bit more - safely.
