Re: Calf Pasture Beach 2012?

: The Saugatuck can be nice, and allows for a variety of paddles: a
: couple of miles r/t to the dam above town, 5 miles out and
: around C**koenie, maybe 8-10 miles to lunch on Shea and back
: (typical ConnYak Intermediate paddle), 14 miles to take in
: everything as far as Sheffield. Wouldn't hurt to get the tides
: right.
: I'd say do one from the Saugatuck in season, one from Calf Pasture
: out of season.

: Anyone ever paddle anything further afield and know how to organize
: it: Boston Harbor for example, or Newport?

I agree - Saugatuck in season and Calf Pasture out of season would be good. I paddled from the Saugatuck launch
and went around C**koenie island and it was 6.5 miles - to Shea it was right at 10 miles so it is a nice paddle with a lunch stop.

I wonder if we would be able to hook up with Sue and company (NSPN) when they plan a Boston Harbor paddle so we could benefit from their experience?
