Best I've ever seen it. No need to go to the offshore reef - it was active all the way out from Hatchett point with 2 1/2 - 3' breaking chaos extending 1/2 mile or more upwind East of the point, and a clean front wall several waves deep. Ebb started about 4 PM, an hour after forecast high tide at Saybrook Point. I was only there for the first hour of the ebb, and it was getting bigger when I left.
