Speaking from experience with this issue in the past, a couple of helpful hints to those with ideas to express at the meeting or via email:

- If you have an idea, SPEAK UP. Ideas, good or bad, can't be considered if they aren't spoken
- If you do, be prepared to say more than "ConnYak should do X". Say why, how it would benefit the club, how to do it, and what YOU would contribute to it as a volunteer. Nobody gets paid to do this stuff, so if your idea requires work, be prepared to pitch in to make it happen.
- Think big picture. Every change changes more than just one thing. Consider all the effects.

Good ideas are apparent to most people, but not always. If you're prepared to discuss the big picture as well as details, you may just convince prople that it's a good thing to do.
