I consider all 3 of my kayaks to be touring sea kayaks. I use all of them ( 18' X 20.75", 16' X 22", 16' X 22") for day paddles and week long camping. Don't get hung up on all the catalog catagories being bantered about these days. If it is comfortable, fits you and performs adequately it will serve you well. Remember there is no such animal as the perfect kayak.
