Re: ConnYak Newsletter
In Response To: ConnYak Newsletter ()

Randy,
Good for you for stepping up to a task you feel is important. If it's important to you, then its important for others -- because there are always way more people who don't speak up than who do.

I have worked on many a newsletter -- I am currently a co-editor for the newsletter of my local food coop (Fiddleheads) -- and I know they take an enormous amount of work. So I hope you get good responses to your question because there's nothing more depressing than doing all this work for a newsltter and then wondering whether anyone has read it!

I wish I could offer time for your project but I'm volunteering too much already. So here are some ideas, thoughts, etc. Good Luck!
Cheers,
Laurie

1) What can the newsletter offer that is NOT ALREADY available on the website?

2) What is the mission of ConnYak and how will the newsletter support or promote that mission?

3) What are your resources -- people who are willing to write and/or edit; do the layout; send it to the printer; etc?

4) Ideas (what i'd be interested in)
--paddle stories
--places to eat near launching points (it's really all about the food!)
--Book Reviews
