Another thing to remember is that it's near impossible to perfectly match white anything, because it's not really white. Most boat manufacturers use a different pigment than others do. It may look white from a distance, but when you mix up pure white patch, you find that it's not. And your patch gelcoat may not be totally white, either. Don't sweat it - it's a beauty mark or a badge of honor for your boat.
