Each year we try to make the Jamboree the first weekend in August as close to the full moon as possible… the Full moon is July 26 and Aug 24.

Shea Island in Norwalk Harbor and the main event is the annual beach cleanup on Sunday
Sever people have been asking if they can help. The main thing at this time that I need help with is spreading the word. Tell all your friends about the Jamboree. Take fliers to kayak shops, and try to get your local kayak club to organize a paddle-pod to come over to Shea Island. It is a three day event. Some people will camp on the island. These people will have most of the fun, but you do not have to camp. You can come over for just the day. So, if over night trips are not what your local kayak club does, then that is ok. Come over for Saturday, or more important, for the Island clean up on Sunday.
