With respect to images as web hogs, many boards have a ceiling on image size (usually 100-150KB). Downsizing the image prior to posting is quite simple. Actually, the dimensions of the image need not be sized so as to approach thumb status, the point is to "depixil" it, while maintaing a size that fills a fair portion of the screen.
