The location will be the same as last year, the East Haddam Town Beach on Moodus Reservoir. Hot dogs, hamburgs provided by the club, bring a dish to share. Bring your family or friends. Bring your boat. There is ample parking, a beach, a covered picnic area, bathrooms, etc. No alcoholic beverages officially allowed on the town property.

From Route 9

Take Exit 7, long exit to Saybrook Rd (Rt 154) Left at the stop. Go about ½ mile and take a Right onto Rt 82 (Bridge Rd). After crossing the East Haddam Bridge take a Left at the fork onto Rt 149. Go about ¾ mile, at stop sign, take a Right onto Landing Hill Rd. Go straight for 4.7 miles from this point to the East Haddam Town Beach on Lower Moodus Reservoir. In this last 4.7 miles, there are two stop signs and multiple road name changes, but just keep going straight. After crossing the causeway between the upper and lower reservoirs, make a left into the beach parking lot.

From Rt 2

Traveling East on Rt 2– from Hartford area

Take Exit 16, Right at end of exit onto Rt 149. Go to the stop light at Westchester 4 corners, go straight, remaining on Rt 149. After passing the East Haddam town line (sign) you will go down a long hill. At the bottom, where the reservoir comes into view, take a left onto Mott Lane. Go to the end, a stop sign in front of a farm, take a right and go about ¼ mile toward the water – beach entrance on the right just before the causeway.

Traveling West on Rt 2 – from Norwich area

Take exit 18, left at end of exit onto Rt 16 going West. Proceed to Westchester 4 corners (stoplight) where you turn left onto Rt 149. Then follow directions above, with left on Mott Lane.
