The CT DEP Boating Division, in cooperation with ConnYak, the City of New Haven Department of Parks and Recreation, and the US Coast Guard, will present a unique family affair of safe paddling demonstrations.

The event is free of charge and will feature in-pool demonstrations and other topics including self-rescue, choosing the right craft, panel discussions, and activities for kids.

Professionals from the US Coast Guard, certified canoe and kayak instructors from the City of New Haven, and a variety of representatives, including representatives from ConnYak and from CT Chapter of AMC, from the paddling industry and the DEP Boating Division will be on hand to answer any questions.
