Eight hardy volunteers from across America are placed in cold water to learn what really happens. In the “Cold Water Boot Camp” DVD you can see COLD SHOCK, COLD INCAPACITATION, and HYPOTHERMIA in real people and real situations

Mark Chanski, of CT DEP, was one of the eight participants shown in the DVD. He will be presenting the DVD and answering questions.

Directions to Essex Library (next to Essex Town Hall)

Route 9, take Exit 3.
At the end of the exit ramp, turn Left and go under the Route 9 bridge to the light.
Turn Left on to West Avenue.
The Town Hall is about a third of a mile up the hill, on corner of West Ave and Grove St
Turn left on Grove Street- parking is in the back of the building.
