The boat is an 18' merganser (Shearwater-Boats) I started in April and finished in August. I had a great time building and ran into very few problems. I decided to replace two of the deck panels with Birch plywood instead of using all Mahogany. This contrast really gives the boat a nice look...(Okay, I may be a little biased). The boat handles really well and is a lot of fun to paddle. I just started building a 12' Rising Star for my son, also from Shearwater Boats.

I think its safe to say, I'M HOOKED!!!!!!!
